Itoju Ara's dermarollers contain 9 disks and 540 titanium needles.

O.25 MM: The main purpose of the 0.25 mm needle size is increasing the absorption of products such as serums and oils. This is what is referred to as "transdermal absorption." This simply means "enhanced absorption of skincare products." This is done by thickening the epidermis, making it easier for the skin to respond to various skincare products a little bit more effectively.

0.50 MM: The 0.5 mm needle size carries the benefits of a 0.25 mirconeedle and more. This needle length is perfect for anyone looking to treat shallow wrinkles, UV damage, acne scarring, and hyperpigmentation (as well as the added benefit of product absorption for quicker and more effective results of course).

Jumpstarting the healing process of wounds such as acne scarring, the progress of one week worth of healing can be done in just a couple days.

Dermarolling can aid in the absorption and penetration of skin products as much as 20 times compared to applying skincare products manually. You can use our 0.25 derma roller 1-2 times a week. The 0.5 mm dermaroller can be used weekly to once a month (we suggest starting out every 2 weeks if you're a beginner to the dermaroller family).

*All of our dermarollers come with a complimentary case.

For more information about dermarolling, check out our article right here.

Dermarolling also treats skin concerns such as:

- Dull Skin

- Uneven Skin-Tone

- Enlarged Pores & Texture

- Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation

- Collagen Production

- Sun Damage (including damage from tanning booths)

*Regular dermarolling can be used as a preventative measure when it comes to aging.

1. Disinfect your derma roller. We advise to do this by letting it soak in 70% isopropyl alcohol for approximately 5-10 minutes.

2. Thoroughly cleanse your face using a gentle cleanser.

3. Get to rolling! We have so many tools on our website and social media for first time rollers. Nevertheless, to sum everything up in a couple of points here is the 3 point rule. One, avoid the eye area (this means your lid and below your eyes. Two, roll in one direction 6-8 times on each area of skin. Three, start inwards and go upward/outward.

4. Once you've finished, go about your usual skincare routine. Avoid ingredients such as retinol or acids (they might irritate your skin). Aim for calming ingredients.

5. Clean your derma roller with soap mixture by swishing it around. We recommend using soaps like dish soap because alcohol doesn't dissolve the proteins found in skin.

6. Disinfect your dermaroller (so you won't have to do it the next time), put it back in your case, and kiss it goodnight.

7. You can continue your usual, gentle skincare routine. This means no harsh chemical exfoliates or active ingredients (i.e. AHAs/BHAs, salicylic acid, retinol, etc.).

*All of our derma rollers are made with 316 stainless steel.
